Places to visit

belfast castle
Originally a landed family home built in the 1870's, Belfast Castle was donated to the people of Belfast in 1934. It is set against the backdrop of the Cave Hill, with it's outline visible throughout many parts of Belfast, offering panoramic views of the city.
It is an area of outstanding beauty with the architecture of the castle and the exquisiteness of its gardens making it a unique area for weddings and other functions. You can dine in the Cellar Restaurant, visit the unique antique shop or explore the history in the Visitors Centre. Networks of paths allow you to follow the Cave Hill Trail, Estate Trail or Castle Trail. The Cave Hill Adventurous Playground provides an exciting outdoor activity area for children.
